Well, that lasted long...

Smoked like a chimney last night. The computer and day to day stress. The computer and the stress is going to be there whether I smoke or not. GAH! I just don't want to smoke.

Here's my list to not smoke...

1. More money
2. House doesn't stink
3. Don't wake up in the morning coughing, hacking and gagging
4. Sinus problem making it hard to breathe
5. Not able to go places because I can't smoke
6. The cough
7. The diarhea
8. The runny nose
9. The chest pain
10.The wheeze

CRAP!

I'll have to try again.

I haven't smoked at work today. Cutting down would be good. I'd like to be able to not smoke at work.

There is still one or two cigs left in the package at home. I'll have to wait and decide what to do when they are gone.

Not Smoking... Day 2

I have not had a cigarette in One day, 13 hours, 8 minutes and 52 seconds. 38 cigarettes not smoked, saving $14.61. Life saved: 3 hours, 10 minutes.

NOPE > Not One Puff Ever
The Junkie had a smoke on Mar 28 9pm

I found a very helpful website for quitting

http://quitsmoking.about.com/

There is a lot of great information. I feel so much better about quitting now that I found that website.

I need to write a Dear John letter soon. Probably sooner than later.
I need to write a Why I don't want to smoke list.

TJ had a smoke last night. She knew the computer was bad news, doing Luc's plotter work. That is going to be a tough one for her to beat.

Smoking

Bah! I haven't had a smoke since 9pm last night. That's 11 hours and 42 minutes, give or take. I've decided to take the plunge, and I am not one bit happy about it. I don't want to quit smoking, I have to quit smoking. I have almost had two melt downs already this morning, and I've only been here for two hours.

I have the shakes, I have a headache, I'm ready to cry at a given moment.

Most people who smoke think of their cigarettes as good friends who support
them through thick and thin.

This is the one thing that I can't break free from. This quote came from the Health Canada website. Nobody understands this. To actually see this quote on the website is almost comforting. Somebody does understand this.

I am using the Nicorette Inhaler, but it makes me cough and gag. Blech. I don't like the patch, because of the continuous nicotine flow. I don't like the gum, because you have to hold it in your mouth for so long. Rick quit using the lozenges. He said they worked well, but they don't sell those in Canada.

The siding is done.

The siding is finally done, but it isn't a well done job. We are quite disappointed by with the "flaws" in the workmanship. All that's left to do to the outside of the house is to fix the front deck, a rail and deckboards. I'd like to put some shutters on the front window. And Luc's going to put a little deck that wraps around the side of the house from the back door.

The inside of the house is a different story. It will take 15 years to fix the inside up for sure.

Latest ramblings

I don't want to say it out loud, but I think spring is here. It's a balmy 5 degrees. Sunny. Whatever snow is left is melting. Dog poop is starting to smell. The ground is getting soft and mucky. I've heard people saying that flowers are starting to bloom. I've heard radio rumours of people wearing shorts. Spring coats are out. We're back to the cold mornings and warm afternoons. It's great. I hope it sticks around. No more cold snaps.

On to other news. I wrote my finance exam last night. Talk about stress. Two hours of constant writing is very stressing on the brain. So much so, that I was awakened numerous times throughout the night from dreams of interest rates and stock prices and dividends. Crazy stuff. I don't really remember the gist of the dreams themselves, just that they were finance related.

Wheeee Siding

Image hosting by PhotobucketWe are getting siding put on the house.  Does it ever make a huge difference in the look.  We're going to be the prettiest house on the street.  Oh and according to the guy on the scaffolding, it's being put one by the cutest guys on the street **groan**

But I do have to say, they are certainly making a mess of the yard though.  I hope they clean it up.

Pretty cool.

Luc and I will be taking our first vacation ever together this summer. A whole week off. The two of us. Well, and the kids of course. I'm so looking forward to it.

July 24 - 28 at the home away from home.

I'll have to make a list of stuff for Luc to do. He can barely stand a couple of hours of watching TV. He'll probably go half insane if he doesn't have anything to do.

Our home away from home

I'm just trying the new feature in photobucket. I can upload my pictures there, click on a button, and they end up in my blog, where I can add some information. Very cool.

Just a little note.

11 1/2 weeks until camping. I found this great site with a forum for campers

www.tldirectory.com

There's a lot of friendly people there, and as far as a forum goes. Holy cow. There's a lot going on. It's a pretty busy spot.

A happy post

I've been so busy bitching about things, I thought I would make a happy post. Sad, sad, sad. I can't think of anything happy to write about.

It's not that I'm not happy, or sad, I guess right now, I'm on an even keel.

I don't think the job prospect is going to pan out, so off to the next one. I haven't been officially turned down, but, I think it's pretty obvious. They call within an hour of submitting my resume to set up an interview, they call within a couple of hours within the interview to offer me the position, they email within a couple of hours with questions regarding my negotiated offer, and I haven't heard a thing back. That was two days ago.

Well, that's fine really, I could see the potential in the position, but they really weren't interested in paying someone with over ten years experience what they are worth. Their loss I guess.

Calgon take me away...

I'm waiting to hear back about a job offer I have been negotiating for the last couple of days. I can't take the offer at the base they offered me, there's about $10,000 in the difference. I wouldn't even be considering this offer in the first place, but my current job is driving me to drink. Literally. I can not take this place anymore. People really need to mind their own business. Some people need to realize they don't know everything. Some people need to realize that they don't run this company.

You just called my number?

Do people know how stupid they sound when they call an unknown number and say "Your number was on my phone?" They have no idea who they are calling, and in their self important glory think that noone could ever possibly get a wrong number. If the number is there, someone definitely wants to talk to them.

I just LOVE it (That's sarcasm by the way) when someone does that at work. Honest to God, what do people think. There's a hundred people working here and what 50 phones. "Yea, honey, I know exactly who called you." And they just do NOT understand the concept. "Well, can you find out." "Hell. NO."

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!! I just got the results back from my exams I had in December. I passed. I didn't do as well as I thought, but I passed. FA3 72% and MA1 78%. Got those suckers out of the way. Now I just have to wait to get paid for them.

Woohoo!!!

I just realized that in 15 to 17 weeks, or just approximately 4 months we will be back camping again.

OK, so it isn't really camping. It's more like our home away from home.

And speaking of that dreadful weather. This picture was taken two weeks ago. Look. The grass is still greeen.

The weather. I'm going to talk about the weather. It's nice. It's warm. It's sunny. It's not supposed to be this way. It's supposed to be cold, and snowing, and Luc needs to be out plowing snow to pay for the snow plow. Grrr.

Here's the 5 day forecast. It's almost the end of January. Where's the freaking snow. Rain???

Here is the three month temperauture outlook. Of course, higher than normal temperatures.

It can't snow if it's too warm out.

Here's my puppy. Isn't she a darling? This was her first outdoor offleash experience. It wasn't much of an experience, just hubby and the kids at the campground. She did pretty good though. She didn't wander off much, and if she did, she was able to be called back. She was too interested in chewing on the ice to wander off. I wish I had gotten a picture of her skating on the ice. It was priceless. 4 paws spread out trying to keep herself balanced. HAH!

Well I started excersising. I started yesterday with a 20 minute basic workout DVD. I completed it, and I felt good. I did the same DVD today but I also added some jumping jacks, situps, pushups and step ups. Not so good today. I puked. Not good. I'm going to be really hurting tomorrow.

I don't plan on giving up, but I think I will take it a bit easier tomorrow. I will do the 20 minute stretch DVD I have, and some jumping jacks. And whatever else is in store for me.

ugh. My back hurts, my legs hurt, and I have a headache.

I suppose, all in all, not bad for an almost 40 year old, overweight, smoker, who hasn't exercised in a lot of years.
I love my hubby!

I came home after work yesterday and the house was almost spic and span. WOW!! I have never seen it so clean. What a good job. He didn't get to the kitchen or the bedroom, so he said he would hit those today. Yea!

I don't much care for ebay. I don't think it's as great as everyone lets on.

My husband does alot of buying. Or spending I should probably say. He's been burned more times than I can count. Not getting purchases. Sellers disappearing. Purchases that are not what they are stated to be. ie. in good condition. If you are not satisfied with the product or service, that's what feedback is for, is it not??? Hell no. Don't leave negative feedback for someone, that just burns you in the butt as well. With negative feedback from the seller. So how many of these A+++ feedbacks are utter crap??? Forget about getting any help from ebay or paypal. Mediation sucks it.

The latest fiasco was a set of lights. The pictures looked great. Got them in the mail. The frame was broken, no, not in mailing, wires were missing. The damn things didn't work at all. So much for good and working condition. There's another $100 down the tubes. The seller had the nerve to say they were all together and the wires were there when they were mailed. What an ass.

Oh and these "ebay stores" You would think that since these stores do "all" of their business through shipping, they would use a company they can count on or that is reliable. What is this crap about "Not responsible for shipping issues" Whatever.

I think I'll stick to Walmart. Thank you very much.
